Who We Help
The Norm and Joann Frink Hearing Foundation is dedicated to helping those in Oregon with the greatest need for hearing health care. Our goal is to ensure every patient we work with gets the highest level of care available to them and to ensure our limited resources go to those most in need of them. To that end, we have a few screening questions for our potential patients regarding their income, insurance, and history.
How it works
Patients will be asked to provide information about their income as part of the application process. The Norm and Joann Frink Foundation uses the Federal Poverty Guidelines to establish its financial means test for patient eligibility. Currently, we are restricting services to patients making no more than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline for household income (see table below).
If a patient’s income is under the dollar amount listed under the 200% row for their family size, they may qualify for hearing aids through the Foundation. Pay stubs or your previous years’ tax statement may be requested as part of the verification process. See the table below for the maximum allowable household income based on the current Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Patients and our audiologist partners must attest that patients are not eligible for hearing aids through other sources, including state or private insurance, Veterans benefits, workers compensation, vocational rehabilitation, or any other source.
